- Summary
- Last Saturday, our community gathered for a meaningful tree planting event, beginning with a circle of intention featuring a poem by Mary Oliver and a quote by Wangari Maathai. With shovels in hand and feet in the soil, we planted 22 fruit trees using compost, bokashi, and biochar—while kids and dogs played joyfully. It was a joyful, hands-on morning dedicated to nurturing a greener, tastier future.

Last Saturday our community came together for our 🌳 tree planting activity, starting with a circle of intention. Linda shared the poem "Can You Imagine" by Mary Oliver, and Hunter followed with a powerful reminder from Wangari Maathai:
“Until you dig a hole, you plant a tree, you water it and make it survive, you haven't done a thing. You are just talking.”
And so, we got to work—shovels in hand, 🦶🏽feet in the soil. Layering compost, bokashi, and biochar, while kids and dogs ran wild with joy. Together, we planted 22 new fruit trees across the park. It was a morning of getting our hands dirty, and investing in a greener, tastier future—for all of us. 🌳🍒🍈🥭
