Here’s a little more specifics for this Thursday’s meditation circle.
🍃Slight time change: we all decided to change the time from 4:15 to 4:30. This will get us closer to ending the group with the sunset.
🍃Guest leader Instead of our usual flow, Ilana Markowitz will step in as visiting guest leader, sharing her knowledge and practice.
🍃Ilana is a lifelong meditator who has been influenced by a range of Buddhist traditions.
🍃For this session, she will begin by leading us in a short pranayama (an ancient yogic breathing practice).
Ilana will then share with us the first eight of the 16 breaths of the anapanasati sutta.
🍃If this sounds new to you, then this will be a great introduction to the practice! It’s an exciting opportunity to add to our understanding of meditation together as a little emerging sangha.
